Rom. 8:26-27 have been an encouragement to me during many confusing times. God knows our thoughts and deepest anguish, and his spirit translates for us!
Favourite scripture verse regarding prayer: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”
My mother was considered the "black sheep" of the family but everyday of her life (as long as she was able, my grandmother prayed for my mom. My grandmother passed away at age 96 and within the month, my mom returned to following the Lord - at age 72 - God is always faithful to His promises!
i love where you said our prayers don't have a shelf life. i understand i must wait for certain prayers and I am okay with that because God knows what is best and I will praise him every time one is answered,

Me too! I often use that Scripture in the prayer room, especially when I need to stir myself up in faith. Fantastic verse.
