Embracing Hope is a special 21-day devotional series (excluding Sundays) that will begin on December 1 and conclude on December 24. This year these devotionals will be based on various Scripture passages that have been traditionally part of the Christian tradition of Advent. The purpose of these meditations is to help draw you into deeper worship of Jesus who has taken on human form and is God’s greatest gift to us. During this series, short, daily reflections are emailed directly to you each morning.
The season of Advent is a time within the Church year of anticipation that leads up to the celebration of Christ’s birth, at Christmas. Advent has been part of the Christian Church since the 4th century! The term ‘advent’ comes from the Latin word for ‘coming or arrival’ and historically has been a time where Christians focus on both the first and second coming of Jesus. Advent begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas, and is an important time for believers to reflect and prepare their hearts around the true meaning of Christmas. (here is a link to quick video explaining what Advent is all about).
This Christmas, I invite you to join me and Embrace Hope!
It all starts on December 1! It’s simple and FREE! All you have to do is sign up with your email address and you will receive daily reflections from my new online newsletter page, ‘The Hidden Resevoir’ directly to your in-box.
