Earlier this year I was involved in a 24-hour continuous prayer event hosted by House of Prayer Edmonton. I was the prayer leader for one of the blocks and I had decided that the prayer theme would be for the Gospel message of Christ to spread in our city, region and nation. As we began to pray I unexpectedly felt stirred toward a different theme: the restoration of hope. I sensed that before there could be a genuine advance of the Gospel message, that the Church in the region needed to experience a restoring of their hope in the Gospel. As we began to pray on the topic of hope, it became clear that God was indeed leading us to intercede for a breakthrough of hope within people and it turned into a solid, powerful prayer meeting. Since that time, I have continued to pray often about hope being restored in the hearts and minds of all people.

This year as we approach Advent, I am planning a special devotional series called ‘Embracing Hope’. It will follow the same format as my Advent series in 2020 and go from December 1-24, excluding Sundays. For 2021 I will be writing new devotionals that will be based on various Scripture passages that have been part of the Christian tradition of Advent. The purpose of these meditations is to focus on Jesus who is our true and living hope.
I would like to invite you to join me for this Advent experience. The series is FREE and the daily posts will be short and concise and provide a Scripture focus for your day. All you have to do is subscribe to The Hidden Reservoir and you will get the daily devotionals sent directly to your inbox, first thing in the morning.
Do you know somebody else who might be interested in this series? Please use the link at the bottom to help spread the word. Thanks!
